The Yount family celebration was, once again, a wonderful time. Grandpa and Grandma Yount have six children, nineteen grandchildren, and thirty great-grandchildren. There is at least one more great-grandchild on the way, due Easter Sunday. Congratulations Aaron and Sarah Ann! All were present at this year's event except Mike and Janan Kreger and their three children, Victoria, Ethan, and Connell (who live in Germany), and Eric, Megan, and Olivia Nichols. Thirty-one of us met at Bob Evans (the huge one at I-71 & Kings Mills Road) for brunch on Christmas Eve. Then it was on to Grandma's house, where we were thanking God for beautiful weather. The kids were able to play outside for awhile which helped make the house a little more comfortable! On Tuesday we all met at Germantown Pizza (Craig's shop)to spend the day eating, playing games, singing, laughing, and having a great time. We always get to watch a few would-be pizza patrons come up to the door and walk away disappointed after reading the sign which reads "Closed - Private Event". Some traditions include a Honeybaked ham along with the turkey, and Aunt Andrea's incredible cookies. I'm so glad my extended family travelled the miles, arranged the schedules, and made their way to Cincinnati. It was a blessing to be together again!

John and Jean Yount with Janel and Joseph, John and Esther Yount with Taunya, Andrew, Jesse, and Alaina, Jeremy and Emily Yount with Carl, Joel and Erika Yount with Kevin and Elise. Mike and Janan and their three children were unable to attend due to living such a distance.

Joe and Carol Brown, Jonathon Brown, Aaron and Sarah Kennedy, Craig and Alisa Brown with Parker and Karianna

Jeff and Andrea Yount, Daryl and Mandy Yount with Brayden, Savannah, and Sophia, Devin and Jennifer Driggers with Logan, Landon, and Whitney. Jeff, Krystal, Becca, J, Grant, and Graham had to leave earlier in the day.

Our family, with the exception of Eric, Meg, and Olivia

Our Family Christmas...

For those of you who are all about the "perfect" family Christmas (complete with milk and cookies for Santa and a video shoot of your children singing carols while daddy reads the Christmas story - that sounds perfect to me!), you would not have been impressed with our impromptu celebration this year! With so many gatherings to attend and all the busyness of the season, we squeezed in our gift-giving at 11:45 p.m. on Sunday. The kids had a great time, and that is the most important thing!
