Celebrating Evan

10th birthdays are celebrated with friends as well as family, and this year we moved the party to our school commons. The carpet quickly became a wrestling mat, and boys did what boys do. Pizza, wings, and Sam's Club Triple Chocolate Cake were Evan's menu choice, and a good time was had by all. :)
Lovin' those bbq wings!
What a mess!
2nd grandchild
Some new "wheels" for spring.
Friends
Growing up, yet he's so worried that he's not getting any taller...
he obviously doesn't realize how many pant sizes he has gone through
 in the last 6 months!
Quote from daddy, "Remember, when I'm 85 I'll still be bigger than you!"  (Yeah...)
Love the boy!
It's worth mentioning that Evan submitted his birthday menu to Mama Nichols a couple of weeks in advance (his birthday was on Sunday), and it was a little more complicated:
Beef, noodles, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans (canned...he doesn't like frozen), cottage cheese,  slaw, and on the list went. It was a delicious feast, to say the least!

Technical Difficulty :)

gsrek.blogspot is currently out of Google photo space, so until our recently purchased storage becomes available (hopefully within the next two days), this blog will be silent.  Be back soon!

Happy 10th Birthday!!!

Evan,
We knew you were special...even considered naming you 'Isaac' because of the laughter that we had when we found out you were on the way (5 months after your big brother was born). Never thought of you as an accident because we knew God gave you to us on purpose, and He has big plans for your life. You are such a blessing to us, and we love you!

Burley Christmas 2010

Since Kaitlynn hijacked the camera, took lots of still life shots, then killed the batteries, some of these are cell phone pics. Bear with us...
We wanted to get a pic of Grandma and Grandpa B. with all the grandkids, but then forgot until after some of them had already gone home. :(
Some of the "boys"...

Soon-to-be nephew by marriage, Chris...

A fav pastime...
Happy boy, recovering from some not-so-happy moments of sickness...seriously, was there any family not affected by the flu this holiday season? If so, count your blessings!

Enjoyed helping Harmony put together her scrapbook of photos from Ecuador. Wait, I don't think we helped Harmony, I think we helped Tina!

Ready for the countdown...2011, here we come!

5 of us happy, 1 not so much...

5 of them happy, 1 not so much...

All of them happy...

More fav pastime...

Initiation 101...yeah, it could be pretty intimidating. :)
The Christmas that never ends...works out great!

Home For Christmas...

Christmas Eve...

Must've really wanted this!

Who doesn't want to drive a Barbie car?

Still happy...

A blur of excitement...

Then the party moved a few miles down the road to Eric and Meg's, where insanity threatened to rule, as you can see...
Both of these women have a sweet tooth, but one is much more aggressive than the other. Can you guess? Yup, it's Suzanna Kate.

She was wringing her hands cause her fingers were itchin' to get into that cookie dough...
Finally in control of that scoop!

Oh, yum! Been waitin' awhile for this!
Focus???

Unfortunately, we didn't get any pics of adults. That's too bad cause while the kids watched It's A Meaningful Life, we played a rather long and sometimes tedious, sometimes hilarious game of Dutch Blitz. Who knew Dad was such a gamer? (Yeah, right!) :)
