Kaitlynn playing in the straw after the Christmas program

Better Late Than Never...

Over New Year's we were privileged to visit briefly with Greg's two aunts and an uncle. Thanks to them for going out of their way to make sure to see us that day! L to R: Aunt Joy, Aunt Marlene, Ryan, me, Kaitlynn, Greg, Uncle Stan, Evan, Grandma Burley, and Grandpa Burley.
Two of Kaitlynn's great aunts, Joy and Marlene

In case you're wondering where all of these kids came from, I can explain! My good college friends, Angie (Tallman) Edwards, Chenoa (Bristow) Miller, Stephenie (Clemens) Brugger, and I still try to get together several times each year. In December, we all met at the Pilgrim Christian School Commons here in Lima for pizza and fellowship. A few things have changed since GBS days, that's for sure! We have multiplied greatly!! L to R: Trenton Edwards, Blake Brugger, Riley Miller, Titus Edwards holding Timothy Edwards, Kade Brugger, Jeffrey Miller holding Haley Miller, Emily Miller, Tyler Edwards, Evan Burley, Kaitlynn Burley (crying her eyes out), and Ryan Burley.
Yes, boys like tea parties, too!

Somebody please tell me how to delete a picture in a blog after I've entered it twice!

As is common with 35mm users, I am quite delinquent with developing. Today I picked up pictures from WalMart, and discovered memories from about 6 or 7 months ago. Anyway, I figured it wouldn't hurt to share a few of them...

Yeeeeaaaahhhhh!

Yes, the big cheesy grin will end in a few minutes when I tear into some deep cleaning that has been neglected for the past 8 weeks! Who knows, maybe I'll just wait 'till tomorrow for that...oh, and please pardon the pile of socks hanging out on the dresser to your left...maybe I'll find their mates when I clean...

Bear with me while I celebrate!!! At approximately 7:00 p.m. this evening, I sent the file containing my final research paper for HSER 500 Introduction to Human Services. On Monday I will begin HSER 508 Studies in Interpersonal Communication. This communication class looks really fun, and the texts are interesting. Hopefully I have this same opinion this time next week! Anyway, I just wanted to share my happiness with someone, and Greg is currently out picking up Chinese (sorry, Dave) for dinner. To my family: Please note that I have completed this class 51 hours before it is due...this is progress!

Boycotting Generic V-cards!

For the last few years I have had a major aversion to the boxed valentine cards from the discount store. This year I became serious about the aversion and acted on it! The boys hadn't given out class pictures to their friends, so I used a few scrapbooking tools and became somewhat creative. Here is the finished product:

Ryan's Valentine
Evan's Valentine

I forgot to rotate this one...

Cards for the aunts, uncles, and cousins...
