I love this time of year...seems like there are lot of weddings, graduations, and this year, plenty of babies! Congrats to: Daniel Barnt (can't remember his fiance's name!), March 15th; Andy Stroud and Sherilyn Stetler, end of May; Nathaniel Downer and fiance' Becky, June 28th! And as for babies, well the Pilgrims are wanting to outgrow the new tabernacle before it's even built, I guess! Congrats to our friends Rev. and Mrs. Rob Loper on baby #6, and Rev. and Mrs. Tim Forsee on baby #6! Youth camp should be fun for all of us this year!

Fun Times...

We were privileged to attend the NHA indoor camp Friday night in Greenfield, IN. Greg and I had wanted to go, but really didn't treasure the idea of dragging all four kids 150 miles after a long day at school and then having them sit in a 2 hr. service. We opted for a sitter for the boys, and mom, dad, the girls, and us headed for Indiana. It was fun to see people from so many church affiliations and geographical locations. We were able to visit with old friends for a few minutes. Bro. Leonard Sankey preached a necessary and timely message that evening. After a great time at Steak N Shake, we headed for the Fairfield Inn at Noblesville. Dad had a PHC Council meeting at UBC Saturday morning, so the rest of us (except for Greg) slept in and enjoyed the relaxation. After a little shopping, we dropped by UBC to get dad. Jerry and Becky Glick invited us for a "5-minute" visit *LOL*, then we hit the Noblesville Lions Club for the 70th birthday celebration for Roger Russell. Roger's dad was my dad's pastor during all of my dad's growing up years.I enjoyed listening to Bro. Southerland, Bro. Russell, Bro. Gary Fish, and Bro. Joe Watkins tell stories from their days at Frankfort Pilgrim College. The party, given by Bro. Russell's family, was decorated safari-style. He had previously been a missionary to Africa, and we enjoyed seeing the powerpoint with many pictures from those days. One highlight for dad was seeing Steve Russell, Roger's brother. He was my dad's best friend all during childhood. I have heard countless stories of the fun and mischief these two encountered! After the party we hit Castleton Mall, and my dad was finally able to purchase his Christmas gift, a new box guitar. Logan's Steakhouse was our last stop. I hadn't ever been to Logan's, but now rate it as one of my favorites. I think we packed our 30-hr. trip as full as we could, and the boys enjoyed their weekend "away" from us. Thanks Steve, Cathy, Ashley, Nathan, and Jennifer for entertaining them! They had a blast!

Nichols' News -N- Such

I've been waiting on my little brother to post some great news, but since he hasn't and I'm dying to, here it is: Olivia Nichols, daughter of Eric and Megan Nichols, will be a big sister mid-July! The due date is July 22, but since these things seldom happen on THE day, we'll just be waiting anxiously from, say, July 1st on!

Our mid-winter months are filling up fast! I thought we would have a calm January...ha! Last Friday night Greg and I hosted a Stay-awake-a-thon for my students who will be attending ACE Student Convention in March. We had a great time from 8 p.m. on Friday until 6 a.m. on Saturday in the Commons at the school. One of the parents provided pizza and pop, and the rest of us brought the rest of the necessary junk food. They raised between $650 and $700 (I should have the actual count tomorrow), and had lots of fun doing it. Our indoor garage/bake sale is a week from Saturday, and it should prove to be a successful endeavor, as well.

Today I started another class toward my degree. I'm definitely on the countdown now, and am getting very excited! It should be fun finding time to do the numerous assignments, but I'm sure the Lord (and my husband, right honey?) will help me.

Allison's 2 month checkup was today. She is 9 lbs. 15 oz., and 23.5 in. Her percentiles are as follows: weight, 25%; head circumference, 50%; length, 75%. She is a little bundle of joy, and never ceases to crack us up with her responsiveness. She was cooing on the exam table as the doctor was checking her out today. That's my girl!

I have lots of pics to post, just not a whole lot of time to post them! Hopefully I'll be able to take care of that within the next 48 hrs.

5 Generations/ Nichols

Last Friday, I came home from school and we made the decision to jump in the van and head for Illinois. Dad had planned a belated birthday party for grandma the next day, and although we were exhausted from all the traveling, we wanted to be there. We arrived about 11 p.m.,slept for a few hours in her semi-furnished house, and had a wonderful time visiting with family and old friends the next day. After the party, Dad, Grandma, Kaitlynn, Allison, and I headed for Newton, IL to visit my Great-grandma Brown. Following our safe arrival back in Cridersville, we fell into bed in desperate need of sleep. It was definitely a quick trip, but we were glad we did it!
