Greg Turns 40!
Greg's birthday usually lands during campmeeting, and this year was no exception. We celebrated with church friends and family in the cafeteria after the evening service. Kaitlynn especially enjoyed coating her daddy in silly string.
Happy 40th, Greg! We love you!!!
May 2014
May is always a busy month, and this year was no exception. Our Regional Student Convention moved from a March date to May, and that added to the full schedule.
We took a group of 11 students to Adrian College in Adrian, MI, for the Great Lakes Regional Student Convention. I didn't have to serve as a sponsor this year, so we took the girls with us and it was a little more relaxing for me. :-)
I "celebrated" my 38th birthday during convention, and spent the entire day judging dramatic dialogues. Enough said. :-) Here are a few photos from the week -
Mother's Day 2014 -
My niece, Aubrey, graduated from kindergarten at Liberty Bible Academy in Mason, OH. Allison and I made a quick Thursday evening road trip to that event, and finished out the evening with some City BBQ with family and friends.
The end of the school year was busy as usual, with the Awards Program/Reception, picnic, field trips, etc. We were happy to see the end of May, and dive headlong into summer vacation!

Kaitlynn's 10th Birthday...March 15, 2014
So, we're slightly late in updating the blog. Better late than never, I figure. I can't tell you how many times I've referred to old blog posts to check facts or reference an old photo, so I want to keep the important things posted.
On March 15th, Kaitlynn turned double digits. Yup, that's pretty big stuff. :-) She wanted a "Frozen" party, and rather than making it look cartoonish, we picked up some other ideas. Kinda helped that there were actually remnants from the snowstorm still on the ground in mid-March.
I can't believe it's been 10 years since they handed me a tiny little baby and told me it was a girl. It was a wonderful surprise, and I'm glad we did it the old fashioned way and waited till she was born to find out. Totally surreal. Love you, Kaitlynn Ann!

Making a wish...
