Another Weekend In The Can...

I hope all of my blog buddies had a wonderful weekend! Ours was a pretty decent mix of work and fun. On Friday night we met longtime friends Phil and Stephenie Brugger, Dan and Angie Edwards, and Galen and Chenoa Miller in Ft. Wayne. We had an enjoyable dinner at Logan's Roadhouse, followed by the traditional Krispy Kreme donut stop. When Krispy Kreme kicked us out at 11 p.m., we decided to call it a night, rather than hopping over to Starbucks 'til midnight! It appears that we are all getting rather old and tired. :) Greg says we need to start meeting at 3 so we can be home in bed by 9. LOL...
Saturday was spent doing some cosmetics to the house...new kitchen/dining area lighting, curtain and blinds for Kaitlynn's room, new bathroom cabinets, etc. It's fun to have a new look every now and then. Enjoy the pics!
My baby is growing up!

Fun with friends (Stephenie is due in April)

Lots of Happenings!

I haven't had time to blog in the last few days, but boy, things sure have been happening in the Burley/Nichols families!

Karson Brett was born to Mark and Jana on Friday evening, weighing in at 10lbs. 1oz.!
I think he is the biggest baby in Nate and Alberta's immediate family so far...even beating Uncle Greg, who according to his baby book, weighed 9lbs. 15oz.! Congrats Mark and Jana!

And....we are finally allowed to share the news that Valerie and Adam are expecting! Valerie is due on September 24, 2008. Baby and momma are doing well, and Aunt Stephanie is predicting that it's a girl - not that anyone cares about my predictions, but hey...it's worth a shot!

As far as I know, Megan and baby are doing well. We should be finding out whether it is a boy or girl (or one of each:)) shortly.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Never A Dull Moment...

I hope each of you had a great holiday weekend! Teachers love holidays :)! On Friday we left for Cincinnati to spend the night. We stopped at Grandma's house and took her to Germantown Pizza with us for dinner. Their spagetti and salad is awesome...not to mention the bread...mmmm! Craig was able to sit down and eat with us at the end of a busy evening. You can tell his customers love him. Thanks, Craig!
On Saturday we celebrated the impending arrival of Sarah Ann and Aaron's baby. The gender will be a surprise to them, so that always makes it even more fun. She is due Easter Sunday, but by the looks of things...!
Kaitlynn loves to help Mama Yount make her big breakfasts. She's always up early, ready to "make biscuits".

Everyone guessing Sarah Ann's belly size...

Grandma presents Sarah Ann with a handkerchief that her child can use on its wedding day...

Aunt Sarah spending time with Allison...

Sarah Ann and her momma, Carol Brown.

Aunt Sarah spotted Kaitlynn playing in the sink...too cute!

Don't feel bad, Aaron, you'll figure it out in a few weeks!

Sarah Ann had the advantage of a "normal" sized baby...

Finally...babies dressed!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Two of Greg's girls...

Ignoring the copier salesmen who were in the office at the time, we presented mom her "Singing Valentine".

What happens behind the balloon stays behind the balloon!

A few more of our "Singing Valentine" recipients...

Getting ready to enjoy the valentine party...

After running all over town (and abroad) delivering "Singing Valentines" with my students, I am ready to relax for awhile! Compliments of my parents, who have generously offered to babysit 4 kids, Greg and I will be heading to Olive Garden following Good News Club. Yeah!
Hope all of my blog friends have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday, Valerie!!!

Today my baby sister turns 24! I remember the day she was born...I was so excited!
Anyway, Valerie, I hope you have a wonderful day, and trust that your 25th year will be the best yet. I miss you!
