The Fun Continues...

Papaw and Livvy after a good lunch at Panera Bread. Check out those blue eyes!

Allison spotted Suzanna's infant seat, and quickly crawled over to it. She climbed right up to where she could get a good look at her, and was whispering, "Baby, baby." It was sweet...she was very gentle with her...

Allison's first ride...

It's a girls world!

People who know my brother always gasp a little when they see Ryan...it's like they are having a flashback. In this photo you can see a definite "Burley" connection, but Eric and Ryan still have a pretty strong resemblance.

Queen of the remote!

Alli and papaw playing a game...

Kaitlynn with one of her favorite people, Uncle Adam...

Allison and Eric share a birthday on November 13th. Ryan's big day is November 19th. We had a little party so they could all celebrate together. In lieu of cake (they will each be having one on their respective days) we opted for yummy homemade pie and ice cream: apple, pumpkin, and the biggest hit, pecan!

Alli would rather play with the camera...

Mom with beautiful Suzanna Kate...

Group hug...

Three adorable redheads (yes Eric, you are still adorable!)

Ryan, almost 9...

Alli is almost 1...

Uncle Greg sharing a precious moment with Suzanna...

An annual tradition...Eric always receives (along with a few other things) undershirts from his mama!

Eric, headed for the big 28...

A picture is worth a thousand words - check out these expressions!

I have changed my settings to allow anonymous comments. I didn't purposefully restrict some of you in the first place, it must have just been a default setting. The only thing I ask is that you put your name at the end of the post so I can know who you are! I look forward to hearing from you!

A Few Scenes From The Weekend...

On Saturday afternoon, Eric, Megan, and their beautiful daughters rolled into town. Although their visit wasn't a surprise, we were sure happy to see them get here! We haven't all been together since the end of July, so this was a treat. I try not to sit around and lament the fact that we all live so far apart. I choose rather to enjoy to the fullest the moments we are together! (That is not to say I don't miss them!)

Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!

Last week was a busy one. We had planned a bake sale to run during the day Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, in addition to the normal week of school. As always, I was nervous that there wouldn't be enough baked goods, so after spending Monday evening catching up on housework from the previous weekend, Tuesday evening freaking out about election returns, it was time to begin baking on Wednesday after school. That consumed Wednesday, except for the time spent at church in the evening. Thursday we opened the bake sale, and after school went right home and began...you guessed it...baking until bedtime. Greg had to work with Good News Club that evening, so I worked while trying to contain the 3 youngest of our 4 offspring. Friday we ran the sale again, and I decided that no matter what we had left for Saturday's sale, I was not going to spend all Friday night baking! I was tired and my house was a wreck from four days of neglect! Around 7 o'clock Friday evening, mom and dad called and said they wanted to take us out for dinner. We could hardly decide where we wanted to eat because in all reality we would rather have gone to bed and gotten some much needed rest! Finally they told us to meet them at Bob Evans, so we did. When I opened the door to the restaurant, mom and dad were right there, and mom had a little girl in her arms. She seemed vaguely familiar, but I had no clue who she was. After a minute, I spotted Valerie and Adam at the back of the lobby! They certainly surprised me! Earlier in the month I wondered if they may try to come up on their break from school, but with Mr. Profitt's cancer surgery and Valerie's health issue, I figured it was all but impossible. Wow. Suddenly I wasn't so tired anymore, and even managed to stay up until 2:30 Saturday morning catching up with my sis and bonding with my new little niece, Aubrey Nicole. Enjoy the pics.
