We always take the kids to a restaurant of their choosing to celebrate their big day. Usually they choose Skyline, but Evan said he wanted a homecooked meal at his mamaw's house...
Yummy Oreo Delight was a great substitute for birthday cake!
Evan's menu: fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans, mac-n-cheese (the best ever), cottage cheese, dill pickles, dinner rolls, sweet tea...yum!

On Saturday, we took the kids to Alexandria, IN where Bill and Gloria Gaither were hosting the premier of the new GVB reunion recording. It will be released next week. The Gaithers took questions following the 2 hr dvd preview, and then spent time at Gaither Family Resources signing autographs and chatting with visitors. We did a little shopping at GFR, and picked up an early copy of Fireproof, which I can't wait to watch! It was an interesting and fun day!

Wow! That looks really fun! I guess living in IN does have SOME perks! hahaaha Maybe it was just your pics, but it doesn't look extremely crowded either.
Nancy...we are still Buckeyes, but live exactly 100 miles from Alexandria...no, it wasn't crowded at all...very nice, relaxing time...and no ticket cost, just a reservation! :) Nice, cheap family outing!

Melissa...I think we're gonna save Fireproof for Valentine's weekend. Not sure if we'll wait that long! BTW, Menard's has it on sale for $15 this week. We pd. $25 :(. I just wanted to get it early in case they ended up running out.
